Dear Mr. Guité:

Thank you for bringing to our attention the appearance of material on our school’s website without appropriate reference to the source. The webpage in question was designed by a teacher who left our school two years ago, and, regrettably, we neglected to include the webpage in our regular monitoring processes after the teacher’s departure. We have now removed the page from our website and sincerely apologize for the oversight. Should any of our current French teachers decide to use the Kundera quotations in the future, we will direct the students to the original source at http://www.gilles-jobin.org/citations/index.php?au=203#a203. In the meantime, please let me know if there is anything further we should do to rectify the situation.

L’URL de la page en question n’indique pas précisément que la page a été retirée, comme Mme Greene le laisse entendre, mais qu’elle est sécurisée derrière un mot de passe. Est-ce vraiment le cas ? Je ne saurais le dire. Quoi qu’il en soit, j’ai tendance à leur donner le bénéfice du doute.
